AIA has announced the referees for Serie A Week 1, with Marco Piccinini overseeing Juventus-Sampdoria and Federico La Penna the match official for Milan-Bologna.

The new season is upon us and Serie A has officially announced the referees for the matches on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

The 36-year-old Piccinini oversees his 22nd Serie A match when Juventus host Sampdoria in their first competitive game with Andrea Pirlo at the helm.

La Penna has been given the responsibility when Milan look to continue to build on their unbeaten run at the end of 2019-20, and will oversee Bologna’s trip to San Siro.

Elsewhere, Daniele Chiffi has been given Verona-Roma at the Bentegodi and Maurizio Mariani will get up for the lunch time kick-off in Parma, when Napoli start the season at the Tardini.
