The Giallorossi are brimming with confidence after Thursday’s 3-0 Europa League win away to Istanbul Basaksehir, but the injury crisis means Paulo Fonseca again has few options for squad rotation.

Nicolò Zaniolo is suspended, with Javier Pastore, Bryan Cristante, Davide Zappacosta and Antonio Mirante injured.

Nikola Kalinic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan are only fit enough for a spot on the bench, so Cengiz Under, Lorenzo Pellegrini and Kluivert support Dzeko.

Davide Santon gets the nod at right-back, with Gianluca Mancini and Chris Smalling in the centre of defence.

Verona are doing remarkably well following their promotion via the Serie B play-offs, as they went into the weekend in eighth place after five wins, three draws and five defeats.

They beat Fiorentina 1-0 last week and Samuel Di Carmine keeps his spot after scoring the winning goal, supported by Valerio Verre and Mattia Zaccagni.

Miguel Veloso is not yet 100 per cent fit, with Marash Kumbulla and Daniel Bessa injured.

Verona: Silvestri; Rrahmani, Gunter, Bocchetti; Faraoni, Amrabat, Pessina, Lazovic; Verre, Zaccagni; Di Carmine

Roma: Pau Lopez; Santon, Mancini, Smalling, Kolarov; Veretout, Diawara; Under, Pellegrini, Kluivert; Dzeko
