FIGC President Gabriele Gravina admits he was ‘perplexed’ by the fact that only Serie A was allowed to reopen stadiums.
The new decree allows 1,000 spectators in the stadiums of outdoor sports, but so far only Serie A has been given the go ahead in football.
Gravina expects Serie B and Serie C to get ‘the same treatment’ before the League kicks off next week.
“It’s good news, but the fact that the green light has come only for Serie A and not the other championships, has left me perplexed,” Gravina told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“The safety protocols are the same in all three professional Leagues, as well as the rules for distancing, so even on this issue there must be the same treatment.
“In the difficult months of COVID, football has shown great responsibility in everything. I’m convinced the same measure will be taken before the official start of Serie B and Serie C activities, scheduled for next weekend.”
