Napoli coach Gennaro Gattuso said ‘it’s still not football’, despite having 1,000 fans in the stands at the Ennio Tardini against Parma.
The Italian government agreed to reopen stadiums for 1,000 spectators but the Partenopei coach said it ‘doesn’t change anything’.
“It’s still a different sport,” Gattuso said at a press conference. “1,000 or no one doesn’t change anything.
“It’s not football for now, we do it because we’re professionals, but the fans are football.”
Napoli started with a 2-0 win against the Gialloblu but Gattuso focused on keeping up the concentration until the final whistle.
“We know what we want to do, we must improve,” he said. “Even the last seven minutes, when they gave the added time and we suffered four corners.
“We must improve this, then the second balls. We must keep being concentrated because for the rest we have great technique, but one must know how to suffer."
