Report: Godin undergoes medical with Cagliari

Diego Godin will reportedly have his medical visit at Villa Stuart in Rome today, before moving from Inter to Cagliari.

L’Unione Sarda reveals the Uruguayan centre-back will undergo the necessary tests before he can sign with the Rossoblu.

Inter have reached an agreement with the player for his severance pay and the former Atletico Madrid hero is only formalities away from a move to Sardinia.

After the medical in the capital, the Sardinian newspaper reports Godin will travel to Cagliari President Tommaso Giulini’s offices in Milan to sign a two-year deal with the Casteddu.

Godin moved to San Siro last summer and helped the club to second in Serie A, reached the Coppa Italia semi-finals and finished runners-up in the Europa League.

The 34-year-old played 36 competitive games for the Beneamata.
