Forward Roberto Insigne claims Benevento ‘aren’t afraid of anything’ after the comeback win against Sampdoria.

The Streghe turned 0-2 to a 3-2 win against the Blucerchiati this weekend and Insigne insists he never stopped believing in the possibilities of a turnaround.

“We haven’t done anything yet, the mountain to climb is high,” Insigne told Radio Punto Nuovo. “After the 2-0, we were not afraid of anything, especially for having played well in the first 20 minutes.

“We kept the ball, we played the game, I was calm. This club believes in me and so does Inzaghi.

“I’m always available. If I do what I have to do and what I do best, I always find space. I was joined by a quality player with experience in Iago Falque.

“But I’ll always have my say. I will show everyone that I must play.”

Insigne praised Filippo Inzaghi and said Benevento are prepared for their next game against Inter.

“He’s very nice, calm. He always wants to do something, he’s a real hammer. After the match, he was already looking towards the next match against the Inter.

“If we do things we need to do, like against Sampdoria, managing the game, we will be able to have our say.”
