Sinisa Mihajlovic said Aaron Hickey is ‘a young lad with quality’ who impressed on his Bologna debut in a 4-1 win over Parma.
The Rossoblu put in a confident performance to crush their local rivals 4-1 in the Emilia-Romagna Derby, with Roberto Soriano scoring two and assisting one.
“I am pleased, the lads did well,” said the coach in his press conference.
“We have many experienced players who can help the younger players to mature and that is what I see happening.”
Along with goal-scorer Rodrigo Palacio, Mihajlovic also gave 18-year-old former Hearts left-back Hickey his debut from the start, while Andreas Skov Olsen was on target too.
“Hickey doesn’t speak Italian yet, but he’s a young lad with quality and he did well this evening. Skov Olsen also had some moments of real quality, so our objective is to get them all to become more consistent and grow.”
