Fiorentina coach Beppe Iachini says Federico Chiesa ‘is fully committed’ to the Viola and hopes to have him available against Sampdoria.
Chiesa has been linked with a move away from Fiorentina this summer and has yet to renew his contract expiring in June 2022.
Juventus are reportedly in advanced talks with the Viola and patron Rocco Commisso has said he will be willing to sell the forward ‘for the right price’.
Chiesa is still a Fiorentina player, for now, and Iachini said he counts on the 22-year-old against the Blucerchiati.
“He is fine and involved in the team,” Iachini said at a press conference. “He is fine, apart from a hit on Sunday.
“I hope he will recover. Mentally, he has been totally committed to Fiorentina since he was a youth player.
“He is from Fiorentina and when we confirm he is OK, he will play.”
Chiesa has contributed one goal and one assist in the two first Serie A games in 2020-21, as Fiorentina have opened with a 1-0 win against Torino and a 4-3 defeat to Inter.
