Juventus announced the squad has gone into fiduciary isolation after two members of staff tested positive for COVID-19.
The news comes ahead of tomorrow’s Serie A match with Napoli, who have two players – Piotr Zielinski and Eljif Elmas – and a member of staff who have contracted Coronavirus.
“Juventus Football Club announces that, during the checks provided for by the protocol in force, two staff members tested positive for Covid 19,” read a statement.
“These are neither players nor members of the technical or medical staff, however, in compliance with the regulations and the protocol, the whole extended team, as of this moment, has gone into fiduciary isolation.
“This procedure will allow all members who tested negative to the controls to carry out regular training and match activities, but will not be allowed contact with outside the group.
“The Club is in constant contact with the competent health authorities.”
As per protocol, another round of swabs will be taken tomorrow morning.
Atalanta also announced they had a COVID-19 case today, but the worst outbreak by far is at Genoa, who have 17 players and five members of staff testing positive.
