Papu Gomez warned Liverpool that Atalanta “won’t change” their approach in Champions League games after another amazing display that saw La Dea beat Cagliari 5-2 at home. Click here for the match report.
Atalanta have three wins from the first three Serie A games of the season and seem to have picked up exactly from where they left last season.
“There are still many things to improve,” Gomez told Dazn after the game that saw him score his fourth goal in the league.
“We create many clear chances and score many goals.
“We relaxed a little bit in the second half and that’s one of the things that we must improve. We can’t take any time off. I’d love to win a trophy with this club. Serie A is very competitive, let’s see what happens.”
Atalanta will face Liverpool, Ajax and Midtjylland in their Champions League group stage and the Argentinean warned La Dea’s European opponents: “That’s the only way we can play, we are not going to change or approach in Champions League.”
