Smalling: 'Delighted to be at Roma'

Chris Smalling was happy to be back at Roma after completing his move from Manchester United. ‘My head and my heart have always been in Rome’.

The former England international has signed a three-year deal with Roma and moved for €15m from the Premier League giants.

“Nothing in life worth having comes easy,” Smalling told Roma’s official website.

“My head and my heart have always been in Rome. I’m delighted to now be yours. Daje Roma!”

Smalling played 37 competitive games for the Giallorossi in 2019-20 but his season ended prematurely, as he didn’t get to participate in the last 16 against Sevilla.

During his first season in the Italian capital, Smalling contributed three goals and two assists, helping the side keep six clean sheets in Serie A.
