The Azzurri had a completely revamped line-up for Wednesday’s 6-0 friendly win over Moldova, so more familiar faces will be in action for the Nations League against Poland and the Netherlands.

Italy are unbeaten since September 2018 and the real turning point came in a 1-0 victory away to Poland on October 14, 2018.

“We’ve had clarity from the start on what we intended to do, beginning this journey with full faith in the coach and the football he wants to play.

“We have the talent to achieve those aims, the experience mixed with the joy of youth. It’s a combination that has allowed us to come this far and revitalise Italian pride.”
