Fiorentina midfielder Giacomo Bonaventura has left the Italy camp for the birth of his son.

Bonaventura has left the Italy squad ahead of the UEFA Nations League match against Poland tonight, and the FIGC reveals he has returned to Italy for the birth of his son.

“This morning Giacomo Bonaventura left the Azzurri retreat and returned to Italy for the birth of his son Edoardo,” the statement read.

“Congratulations from the FIGC and from all the teammates and staff of the national team to the Bonaventura family.”
