Milan captain Alessio Romagnoli has reportedly recovered from the calf injury and will be at Stefano Pioli’s disposal for the Derby della Madonnina.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports the Rossoneri should have their captain back on Saturday, as the centre-back has fully recovered from the calf problem that kept him out of the first games this term.

Romagnoli played in a friendly match against the youth team at Milanello and didn’t have any problems.

Matteo Gabbia has replaced Romagnoli so far this season but the Italy Under-21 international has tested positive for coronavirus and risks missing the match, meaning the captain’s return is good news for coach Pioli.
