Barcelona legend Carles Puyol reveals he could have joined Milan during his playing career and that he would have liked to play with Paolo Maldini.
The 42-year-old spent his whole career at Barcelona where he won 20 trophies including six La Liga titles and three Champions League.
“I could have joined Milan,” he said during the Festival dello Sport organized by La Gazzetta dello Sport this past weekend.

“I could have joined Milan,” he said during the Festival dello Sport organized by La Gazzetta dello Sport this past weekend.
“I would have liked to play with Paolo Maldini, he was my idol. I would have been happy to close my career in Italy,” he said.
“I had offers from English and Italian clubs, but when your club is also your home you don’t feel like wearing another shirt.”
Puyol is sure Milan will return to greatness.
“I am convinced that the Rossoneri will once again be as big as they used to be, even though they are now going through a difficult time.”
