Former Milan attacker Alexandre Pato has been linked with a return to Serie A, as Genoa, Spezia and Monza are interested in the Brazilian free agent.
Pato has been without a club since he left Sao Paulo in August 2020 and La Gazzetta dello Sport reveals he has decided against signing a deal in Brazil in order to return to Italy this season.
The report reveals Genoa have considered the 31-year-old and he has not been taken off Enrico Preziosi’s wish list, whilst Vincenzo Italiano’s Spezia could also offer him an opportunity in the top flight.
The newspaper reports Monza have joined the chase and that a reunion with President Silvio Berlusconi and CEO Adriano Galliani could tempt the former Rossonero.
Pato played 117 games in Serie A during his six years at Milan between 2007 and 2013, contributing 51 goals in the process.
