Former Milan teammate Kaka believes Juventus tactician Andrea Pirlo ‘will be unique, even as a coach’.
The former Brazil international played with Pirlo at Milan and admitted he didn’t expect his old teammate to take on a top job so quickly.
“It’s fun. I enjoy seeing my former teammates being involved in great teams,” Kaka told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“He seemed destined to take over the youth team and work his way up, but he has already arrived there.”
Kaka said Pirlo has an advantage having played for great coaches like Carlo Ancelotti, Massimiliano Allegri and Antonio Conte, but thinks the former Italy international will be ‘unique in his kind’, just like he was as a player.
“OK, Andrea knows football,” Kaka said. “It will be nice to follow him.
“He has been fortunate to work with and learn from many great coaches. Ancelotti, Allegri, Conte…
“In the end, I still think Pirlo will be unique, even as a coach.”
