Napoli put in one of their best performances in years and Atalanta among their worst, as Chucky Lozano’s double, a Matteo Politano scorcher and Victor Osimhen’s first Serie A goal proved decisive.

It was a masterclass of a first half from the Partenopei, who utterly dominated La Dea, a side that had until then won all three Serie A matches this season.

Chucky Lozano took control early doors with a pair of goals in quick succession, then Politano’s cut inside and scorcher stunned Marco Sportiello.

Osimhen had several chances before he broke his Serie A duck with a quickly-taken finish.

Atalanta rarely fire blanks, though, and Sam Lammers got a consolation goal after the restart.
