Roma are willing to offer their star striker Edin Dzeko a contract extension until 2023, reports in Italy claim.
The former Manchester City star is on a €7.5 million-a-year deal until 2022 and the Giallorossi want to offer him a one-year contract extension, reports La Gazzetta dello Sport.
As per Il Messaggero Roma want to include bigger bonuses in their captain’s new deal.
The Bosnian striker has had a tough start to the season.
Dzeko had reached an agreement to join Juventus but his potential replacement Arek Milik did not get the greenlight to join the Giallorossi from Napoli.
Dzeko didn’t play Roma’s opening game of the season against Verona because his move to Juventus was imminent but in the end it didn’t went through.
Roma face Benevento at the Olimpico tonight with Dzeko who is looking for his first goal of the season.
