Inter conceded 10 goals in their opening five games of the season hitting a new low since Gian Piero Gaperini's reign.
As Tuttosport points out, Antonio Conte’s side have allowed as much goals as Gian Piero Gasperini did when the current Atalanta coach was in charge of Inter back in 2011.
Gasp’s spell at the Giuseppe Meazza didn’t last long as he was sacked exactly after five games in all competitions.
Now, Conte doesn’t risk to end up in the same way although the results of the last two games against Milan and Borussia Monchengladbach have been disappointing.
Conte has a few excuses as well as Inter have many players out of action due to Covid.
The last one of them, Achraf Hakimi, tested positive for Coronavirus only hours before the kick-off of the Nerazzurri’s Champions League clash against Borussia Monchengladbach on Wednesday.
The likes of Ashley Young, Roberto Gagliardini, Milan Skriniar and Ionut Radu are still positive for Covid-19.
Inter are due to face Genoa tomorrow and Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday.
