Hellas Verona coach Ivan Juric said he’s ‘very happy’ with the youngsters at the Bentegodi, but stressed he needs to ‘be careful’ with them.
Verona made big changes to the squad after an impressive 2019-20, but Juric seems satisfied with the players brought in at the Gialloblu during the summer.
The coach praised the youngsters at Verona and said Matteo Lovato, Ivan Ilic, Ebrima Colley and Eddie Salcedo have impressed him so far in 2020-21.
“I’m very happy with everyone,” the coach told Tuttomercatoweb. “Lovato, Ilic, Colley, Salcedo: so far they have all responded well.
“Then you must be careful because they are only kids.
“With [Marash] Kumbulla I never said he was a kid, but you must pay attention to them because they aren’t cunning enough to manage certain situations.
“The negative note is that they aren’t our players, except for Matteo.”
Verona have picked up seven points from four games so far and currently prepare for a trip to Juventus in Serie A Week 5 on Sunday.
