Gennaro Gattuso could miss tomorrow’s Serie A match with Benevento, as the Napoli coach is suffering from flu symptoms, but is negative for COVID-19.
According to Tuttosport, the tactician had a very sore throat and was running a temperature after Thursday’s Europa League defeat to AZ Alkmaar.
He feared that he had contracted COVID-19, but the swab came back negative.
Nonetheless, Gattuso still does not feel well and if the situation doesn’t improve, he could miss tomorrow’s Serie A match against Benevento.
Gattuso was not at the training ground yesterday, replaced by his assistant manager Luigi Riccio.
There will also be another swab taken today before the coach is allowed to reunite with his squad.
