Atalanta midfielder Marten De Roon could skip La Dea’s upcoming Champions League clash against Ajax with a groin strain, reports in Italy claim.
De Roon picked up a groin strain during Atalanta’s 3-1 home defeat against Sampdoria on Saturday and was replaced after 63 minutes by Ruslan Malinovskyi.
La Dea will face Ajax in Champions League on Tuesday and the Dutch midfielder is in doubt for the game.
According to Calciomercato.com, his conditions will be evaluated by the medical staff and by the Gian Piero Gasperini in the coming days.
Gasp has already reiterated that he does not want to do without the former Middlesbrough midfielder for important games.
De Roon, 29, hasn’t missed one single game of Atalanta so far this season with 367 minutes played in six matches.
