“I think we didn’t have the right energy after taking the lead, we didn’t do enough to keep hold of the lead. It’s disappointing, as I got the sensation we could’ve held on for a while longer and taken all three points,” the coach told Sky Sport Italia.
“We had the better of the game for an hour. I’d best not talk about the transfer market again, or I’ll get fired, but these are lads born in 2000 and 2001 who really are putting the effort in and I can only thank them.”
Favilli’s injury was also bad timing, as it took up the third substitution time slot and they couldn’t make any more changes.
“Kalinic is a long way off his best shape, but we already saw he can give us a big hand. It makes my heart bleed for Favilli, he’s so unlucky to score the goal and then get injured. He can do great things.”
Juric seemed furious at the final whistle, what was he reacting to?
“Someone insulted me and I reacted, it’s only normal. I am a man of the Balkans, I react immediately!” he smiled.
