Ibrahimovic has resumed training, but Milan boss Stefano Pioli confirmed at his press conference yesterday that the veteran would not be risked.

Therefore, Ante Rebic will continue as the lone striker, supported by a trident of Samu Castillejo, Hakan Calhanoglu and Giacomo Bonaventura.

Simon Kjaer has also been passed fit to start in central defence after a knee scare during the 4-1 win at Lecce.

Roma, meanwhile, can stick with right-back Davide Zappacosta, who has recovered from a muscle strain.

Elsewhere, defender Roger Ibanez is set to make way for Gianluca Mancini and Cengiz Under should come in for Carles Perez on the right wing.

Finally, Bryan Cristante and Lorenzo Pellegrini will feature from the first minute after their pair of assists off the bench against Sampdoria.

Milan (probable): Donnarumma; Conti, Kjaer, Romagnoli, Hernandez; Kessie, Bennacer; Castillejo, Calhanoglu, Bonaventura; Rebic

Roma (probable): Mirante; Zappacosta, Mancini, Smalling, Kolarov; Cristante, Veretout; Cengiz, Pellegrini, Mkhitaryan; Dzeko
