Stefan de Vrij is disappointed with Inter’s 0-0 draw against Shakhtar but tries to see the positive side of Nerazzurri’s game in Ukraine.
"It’s a shame we couldn’t win the game, we came here to do it but we couldn’t," the Dutchman told Sky Sport after the game.
"We came here to snatch a good results, but at least we didn’t concede any goal and that’s important. If you can’t win at least you have to draw.”
Inter won 5-0 against Shakhtar back in August but the Ukrainians have changed a lot since then.
"We knew it would be a different game compared to the one of August, the performance was there, they defended well and did not create anything, this is definitely a good sign.”
"We must try to win as we always do, even against a great team like Real Madrid. These two games are now gone and we will try to win the next ones".
