Juve-Barça: Messi’s crazy welcome in Turin, Ronaldo won't play

It's been a very busy eve of Juventus-Barcelona in Turin. Cristiano Ronaldo still tests positive for Covid while Leo Messi and Barcelona were welcomed at their hotel in Turin by 100 fans not wearing masks.

The day started off early as the Bianconeri trained in the morning at the Continassa with Leonardo Bonucci who didn’t join his teammates for the training session.

Andrea Pirlo said he will evaluate the player’s physical condition tomorrow morning. If the experienced centre-back will miss the game, Danilo will start alongside Merih Demiral at the back tomorrow night.

The Brazilian spoke at a press conference saying that every team would miss Cristiano Ronaldo.

A few hours later, the Old Lady had the final confirmation that their star striker still tests positive for Covid and won’t be eligible to play against his old enemy Leo Messi tomorrow.

The Argentinean arrived at Barcelona’s hotel in Turin city center at around 6.30pm GMT alongside the rest of his teammates, except for Miralem Pjanic and coach Ronald Koeman who were talking at their press conferences at the Allianz Stdium.

Messi and Barcelona were welcomed by 100 fans between 16 and 18-year-old and only a few ones of them were wearing masks.

Italy registered 21.994 cases of Covid today and 221 deaths.

There were only two policemen to keep an eye on the crowd and nobody could came into contact with the Argentinean and his teammates who will face Juventus at the Allianz Stadium tomorrow night.
