Giacomelli restarts from Serie B

Referees Piero Giacomelli and Luigi Nasca will reportedly sit out two rounds and must restart from Serie B after the controversial Milan-Roma decisions.

Last night, SportMediaset claimed refereeing designator Nicola Rizzoli will suspend both referee Giacomelli and VAR Nasca for a month.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reveals the refereeing duo will be suspended for at least two rounds of fixtures, but will therefore not return until after the international break.

The AIA has evaluated the errors made by Giacomelli and not corrected by Nasca as very serious and the two will be stopped.

Giacomelli should return gradually to Serie A, but must restart from the second tier, as the report highlights he will be given matches in Serie B.
