Udinese coach Luca Gotti said he saw the Friuli ‘have fun’ in the 3-1 win over Vicenza in the Coppa Italia last night.

The Friuli, who have only picked up three points in five League games so far, advanced in the Italian Cup, as Fernando Forestieri, Gerard Deulofeu and Ignacio Pussetto scored the goals at the Dacia Arena.

The coach said his team were doing ‘their utmost’ to go through and pointed out that Ilija Nestorovski did all he could to grab a goal against the Serie B side.

The coach said his team were doing ‘their utmost’ to go through and pointed out that Ilija Nestorovski did all he could to grab a goal against the Serie B side.

“I didn’t like the goal we conceded at the end, it seemed to me it was undeserved based on what was happening,” Gotti told the club’s official website.

“We wanted to go through without giving anything away. At times there were valuable plays, I saw the lads have fun and do their utmost.

“I register the fact that they scored three goals and Nestorovski tried in every possible way to include himself on the list of goalscorers.

“Deulofeu scored and got some minutes in his legs, then I took him off to not overload him. The same goes for [Jens Stryger] Larsen, who seemed to be in the same condition as [Kevin] Bonifazi.”
