Inter are reportedly ready to offer a contract extension to Alessandro Bastoni to warn off Manchester City's interest.
The current agreement between the Italian centre-back and the Serie A giants expires in 2023 but according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Nerazzurri want to offer him a new contract in the coming weeks.
Manchester City sounded out the player in the summer and Inter want to keep hold of their starlet offering him a new contract.
Bastoni is on a € 1.5m-a-year deal and Inter are reportedly ready to double his wages.
The player’s entourage is reported to have requested a higher salary and a meeting is expected to take place in the coming weeks.
Bastoni, however, is a long-time Inter fan and his desire is to stay at the club.
He joined the Nerazzurri from Atalanta in 2017 for €31m. He has five appearances in all competitions with Inter so far this season.
