Gaetano Castrovilli insists Giuseppe Iachini needs trust and opens up on contract extension with Fiorentina.
The Italian midfielder has had a brilliant start to the season with four goals in six games so far.
"I am working a lot and Mr [Giuseppe] Iachini is helping me,” Castrovilli told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“He has always believed in me and my potential in the offensive phase. We have been working hard since his arrival.”
The Fiorentina coach is under pressure with reports in Italy claiming Maurizio Sarri is open to replacing him should he fail to achieve good results in the upcoming games.
"He deserves more trust, until now I think he did well. We are all with him, he is helping us to grow. Hiccups can happen, but we are on the right track.”
Castrovilli has been linked with a number of top Serie A clubs but the player insists he is only thinking about Fiorentina.
“I am honoured if [the interest of big clubs] is true but I only think about Fiorentina. I feel great in Florence, Fiorentina for me is like a family, so if there is the opportunity [to sign a new contract] I would definitely be happy".
The 23-year-old hopes he can be part of Italy’s National team for Euro 2021 and dreams of playing a European competition with his club.
"It’s a great goal and a great dream. It would be a unique emotion to wear the jersey of the National team in such an important competition.
“I will try hard and try to do my best with Fiorentina, then the CT will decide, although I am aware that the competition is high.
"Now, must not look at the table now. We focus on one game at time, trying to win as much games as possible and challenge anyone.
“Then of course, my dream is to play in Europe as soon as possible with Fiorentina.”
