Juventus have officially announced Cristiano Ronaldo has tested negative for COVID-19.
The Portuguese superstar has been out since testing positive for coronavirus during the international break and missed the match against Barcelona in the Champions League this week.
But the Bianconeri have confirmed the latest swab test has come back negative and Ronaldo can exit the home isolation after 19 days in quarantine.
“Cristiano Ronaldo carried out the check with a diagnostic test (swab) for COVID-19,” the club wrote on their official website.
“The exam gave a negative result. The player has therefore recovered after 19 days and is no longer subjected to home isolation.”
The forward must undergo a medical check before being able to return to the team and is expected to have the checks tomorrow, in hope of having the player back in the squad against Spezia on Sunday.
