Fabio Liverani believes Parma can ‘create difficulties’ for Inter at the Giuseppe Meazza on Saturday, despite the many absentees.

Parma have picked up four points in five Serie A games but bounced back with a 3-1 win against Pescara in the Coppa Italia this week.

Liverani admitted the match against Inter at San Siro will be tough, but stressed the Ducali will try to ‘play our game’.

“It’s normal that we can improve on all aspects working every week,” Liverani said at a press conference. “It’s a prohibitive game on paper but we believe we can have a good match.

“We can create difficulties for Inter, even though we are aware they are a strong team, and we respect them.

“With humility, we will try to play our game, that’s what I’ll ask from the lads. Then we’ll see on the pitch.”

The coach said he believes the players who are available after a tough period with coronavirus will be able to compete against the Nerazzurri.

“I don’t really like addressing this issue,” he said. “I believe we all have difficulties, and we all struggle with these situations.

“I think the team we have available can have an excellent game. We are slowly recovering our lads, we have gone through a difficult moment that I hope to have completely overcome.”

The Crociati has since confirmed two reinfected players.

“My biggest dream is to have the whole squad available and make the technical choices, that would be the best thing.

“I believe we are in the decent phase. Everyone has their own problems; I think of Parma’s and that’s right.”
