The Champions League tie kicks off on Wednesday at 20.00 GMT.

“It is always important to get a result, so having lost the most recent match, we’ll certainly be even more fired up and determined,” the Colombia international told Sky Sport Italia.

The Bianconeri ended their negative streak in Serie A with a 4-1 victory at Spezia on Sunday, which by coincidence also marked Cristiano Ronaldo’s comeback.

“We are a work in progress, we’re trying to develop the style of football that the coach asks for and I think we’ll gradually see that come into focus.

“We must be more aggressive and even more of a united team when we lose the ball and need to get it back. We are working on it and will soon do very well.

“Ronaldo is very happy, he couldn’t wait to come back and play, which you saw from the moment he stepped onto the pitch. He is an extra weapon for us, we all know what he gives to the team.

“He is very confident and that helps us too, passing on the professionalism and desire to win that we all ought to have.”
