Torino goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu said the Granata are ‘working hard’ to improve their season. ‘We are aware we must go through difficult times’.
Marco Giampaolo took over at the Grande Torino ahead of the new season and the Granata have picked up five points from their first seven games.
With Torino sitting one place above the relegation zone, Sirigu said the team are still under construction and that they are likely to overcome the tough start.
“If there’s a dark cloud hanging over us? Well, then I hope it goes away, but I don’t believe much in these things,” Sirigu said, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“If I have to analyse the start of this season, I must say that it’s foreseeable to come through a critical phase.
“We have not had the time to digest, nor to work with the coach. We are working hard, but we are building, and we are aware that we must go through difficult times.”
