According to AS, Atletico Madrid want to sign Milan’s star Hakan Calhanoglu as a free agent at the end of the season.
The Turkey international will see his contract expire in June and talks to extend his stay at the club are getting complicated, according to reports in Italy.
Even if the former Bayer Leverkusen star would like to remain in Milan, his agent has reportedly offered him to several top European clubs.
Calhanoglu is on a €2.5-a-year deal at the San Siro and the request to extend his stay at the club is no less than €5m.
There are some other reports in Italy claiming that the player’s request is between €6m and €6.5m-a-year.
Manchester United have also been linked with welcoming the player’s services.
The 26-year-old could leave Milan in January if the Rossoneri fail to reach an agreement to extend his stay at the club.
