Pobega ‘wanted’ to be decisive

Tommaso Pobega scored a vital brace in his debut with Italy U21 against Iceland: ‘I hoped I could be decisive.’

“I was about to make my debut against Ireland but then I didn’t enter the pitch. It was my first game [with Italy U21] and I really wanted to do well,” the Milan starlet on loan at Spezia told Rai Sport.

“I hoped I could be the match winner, I did the best I could. The game was tough, the team played well,” he continued.

“It’s a good moment for me. I feel well, physically and mentally. Having a positive attitude helps.”
