Former Milan and Barcelona director Ariedo Braida has officially taken a new job as director general of Serie B side Cremonese.

The 74-year-old was for many years one of the most famous sports directors in European football, working at Milan from 1986 to 2013 under Silvio Berlusconi.

He then had a spell at Barcelona, as director of sport and eventually chief talent scout, but had left the Blaugrana in 2019.

This afternoon, Cremonese announced that Braida would become their new director general from December 2020.

There will be a curious encounter of ex-Milan legends this season, as also in Serie B we find Monza with President Silvio Berlusconi and CEO Adriano Galliani.

Cremonese are currently bottom of the Serie B table with three points in six games.
