Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic is returning to Italy today in a private jet after he tested positive for Covid-19 while on international duty with Croatia.
The Croatian FA confirmed his departure with a statement, noting he was already isolated from the rest of the squad.
Similarly to Cristiano Ronaldo last month, a return to Italy after a positive Coronavirus test is allowed if on a private plane that has been sanitised, with protected staff and permission from the local health authority and airport.
Brozovic is currently in Sweden, where Croatia are preparing for a Nations League match this evening.
He posted an image of himself in his hotel room, doing a thumbs up, with the ironic message: ‘Always positive.’
