While English reports suggest Liverpool will try again for Kalidou Koulibaly in January, Italian sources insist Napoli won’t sell for under €70m.
The Mirror claims that Virgil van Dijk’s injury has left the Reds short-staffed at the back, enough to warrant a huge expenditure in the January transfer window.
Their first choice would be Senegal international centre-back Koulibaly, who had already been a target for both Liverpool and Manchester City over the summer.
However, La Repubblica make clear the conditions have not changed, so anyone eager to snap up the 29-year-old must pay at least €70m.
K2 is under contract with Napoli until June 2023 and assured several times he is very happy to remain at the Stadio San Paolo.
