Liverpool and Everton are targeting Torino centre-back Gleison Bremer for the January transfer window, it’s reported.
According to the Liverpool Echo newspaper, there’s going to be a Merseyside Derby for the Brazilian.
Liverpool are in dire need of defensive reinforcements after serious injuries for Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez.
Kalidou Koulibaly would be their ideal pick, but Napoli are highly unlikely to sell in January, and the asking price is still over €70m.
Bremer can be a cheaper alternative, although Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton are also keeping a close eye on the situation.
The 23-year-old started 27 Serie A games last term and scored one goal in six appearances this season.
Toro paid €5.8m to sign Bremer from Atletico Mineiro in 2018, so want at least €10m for his sale.
