Vasco da Gama want to bring Mario Balotelli and coach Walter Zenga to Rio de Janeiro, according to Corriere della Sera.
After Leven Siano took over as President of the Brazilian side, the Italian Fabio Cordella has been appointed as sporting director.
Balotelli, who has been training with Franciacorta in Serie D recently, has been linked with a move to Vasco da Gama.
But the report reveals Cordella wants another Italian currently without a club, as Zenga is looking for a job after his brief stint at the helm of Cagliari last term.
The former Italy international has previously coached in America, Romania, Serbia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and in England.
