The player doesn’t seem happy in Manchester.
“I had never known such a difficult period in my career,” he told RTL France on Sunday, while on international duty.
“The French national team is a breath of fresh air. We are very happy to come here and we are all very happy to see each other again,” he continued.
“It is not the same as with the club. We all group together, it’s magical. We realise that everyone is happy to come and that makes a difference.”
Juventus, however, may struggle to re-sign the Frenchman in the near future unless they sell some of their big stars making space into the team and lowering their wage bill, sources tell Football Italia.
During the last summer transfer window, Juventus fixed a maximum wage of €9-10m gross for new signings which wouldn’t be enough to match Pogba’s requests as he earns €16.7m net at the Old Trafford.
“It’s hard to remember to be positive. Obviously, he’s not in one of his better periods. Like all players who have a club situation that is not positive, they are also impacted mentally. I know him well enough and it can happen at some points,” France coach Didier Deschamps said on Friday while Pogba revealed in October he dreams of playing for Real Madrid one day.
