Inter could, according to Il Corriere dello Sport, try to swap Christian Eriksen with Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka this winter.
The newspaper claims Eriksen’s could be on his way after only one year in Milan and predicts a return to the English Premier League for the Denmark international.
Eriksen, who arrived from Tottenham for €20m in January, has struggled to convince coach Antonio Conte at the Giuseppe Meazza and the Nerazzurri could be tempted to include the attacking midfielder in an exchange deal.
The report reveals Arsenal are one of the possible suitors and at that point, Inter could ask for a swap deal including Switzerland international Xhaka.
Thomas Partey arrived at the Emirates Stadium this summer and has limited Xhaka’s playing time in London and could be ready to switch clubs this winter.
In addition to the Gunners, the newspaper claims Inter could try to swap Eriksen for Manchester United midfielder Fred, or even Nemanja Matic.
But the ideal solution for Conte would be his former club Chelsea, as he has been chasing N’Golo Kanté in recent months.
