Parma captain Bruno Alves said the Gialloblu travel to the capital with the intention of beating Roma. ‘They are strong, but we want to win’.
The Crociati are 15th in Serie A after seven games but are unbeaten in four games, including the 3-1 win over Pescara in the Coppa Italia.
In the League, Parma arrive at the Olimpico after three consecutive draws with Spezia, Inter and Fiorentina, but Bruno Alves believes Fabio Liverani’s men have what it takes to beat the Giallorossi.
“There are no easy games,” Bruno Alves told La Gazzetta dello Sport when asked if it would be better for Parma to play without spectators.
“Roma are very strong,” he added. “But we want to win. I say it loud and clear.
“They have already understood the ideas of [coach Paulo] Fonseca, a coach I know very well. We were opponents when I played in Portugal.
“And his assistant Nuno Campos was my teammate. So for me, it’s a game within the game.”
