Juventus remain interested in Manuel Locatelli and according to Tuttosport, the Old Lady have a plan to sign him in summer 2021.
The product of Milan academy joined Sassuolo from the Rossoneri for €14m back in 2018 and his value is now reported to be in the region of €40m.
According to Tuttosport, Sassuolo are not willing to sell the player in the January transfer window but Fabio Paratici has already begun contacts to sign the player at the end of the season.
The Old Lady are long time admirers of the Italy international and have been tracking him since his Milan days.
Although the Serie A champions may not be able to offer €40m to buy the player permanently, they could try to sign Locatelli with a ‘creative’ formula that would allow them to sign the 22-year-old with a swap deal or on loan with option to buy.
The Bianconeri swapped Miralem Pjanic with Barcelona's Arthur last summer and signed both Weston McKennie and Alvaro Morata on loan with an option to make their move permanent at the end of the season. The same could happen with Locatelli in summer 2021.
