Ronaldo has started the season in phenomenal shape, scoring eight times in five Serie A games.

Another brace against Cagliari means he found the net in each of his first five seasonal appearances, something he had only ever done once before, with Real Madrid in 2014-15.

“Ronaldo is a great professional, as we all knew, and he sets the example for everyone around him in both matches and training,” Pirlo told DAZN after Saturday’s 2-0 win.

“The only advice I can give him is to keep going like this.”

Tuttosport reports Ronaldo has no intentions of leaving Juventus a year early and claims the relationship he has established with Pirlo is similar to the one he had with Zinedine Zidane at the Santiago Bernabeu.
