Liverpool coach Jürgen Klopp revealed Mohamed Salah tested negative for coronavirus and will undergo the required tests ahead of Atalanta.
The Orobici face Liverpool at Anfield in the Champions League this week and Salah seemed set to miss out due to COVID-19.
But after the 3-0 win against Leicester in the Premier League on Sunday, Klopp said the Egypt international had tested negative.
“That’s what I’ve heard, a negative today,” Klopp told Sky Sports. “I think from now he’s pretty normal in all the testing.
“Tomorrow we have UEFA testing and I’m pretty sure he will be in that.
“He can train with us tomorrow. There are two tests in the next two days, so he will be tested.”
Mohamed Salah scored one and assisted Sadio Mané in the 5-0 win at the Gewiss Stadium ahead of the international break, when Diogo Jota scored a hat-trick for the Reds.
