Torino have provided a fitness update on Andrea Belotti and Simone Verdi after the injuries they sustained against Inter on Sunday.
Il Gallo didn’t even start the Meazza clash and was replaced in the Granata’s starting XI by Simone Zaza while Verdi had to be subbed off before the half time whistle.
“Andrea Belotti accuses of a worsening of the pain at his right knee which he had already felt in recent weeks,” Torino’s official statement reads.
Belotti picked up a knock at his knee during the Granata’s 4-3 defeat against Lazio on November 1.
“The examinations to which Simone Verdi has been subjected have evidenced the partial distractive involvement of the adductor of his right thigh. His condition will be monitored day by day,” the club revealed.
It remains to be seen if the duo will be eligible to play against Entella in Coppa Italia on Thursday and against Sampdoria in Serie A next Sunday.
