Sassuolo have recovered Federico Ricci from COVID-19 and could have Francesco Caputo back in time for the match against Inter this weekend.
The Neroverdi prepare to face Antonio Conte’s men at the Mapei Stadium and could have their front man back in action against the Serie A giants.
Sassuolo are second in Serie A with 18 points from eight games and Caputo has scored five goals in his six League games so far this term.
The Italy international turned 33 in August but is not slowing down, despite having struggled with muscle injuries at the start of 2020-21.
Tuttosport reports Caputo should be back in time for the match against the Beneamata, as Sassuolo will also see Ricci return from coronavirus.
Caputo didn’t play in the 2-0 win over Hellas Verona last weekend, when Giacomo Raspadori started up front for Roberto De Zerbi’s men.
Domenico Berardi and Jeremie Boga scored the goals as the Neroverdi continued their high-flying start to the new season at the Bentegodi.
